BAY OF FIRES #1

This product is currently out of stock

These Resin Crystal Gem earrings have been carved by hand, made into a mould, and then cast in clear resin embedded with hand picked shells and other oddities from the Bay of Fires in Tasmania, Australia. They measure approx 3.5cm wide at their widest point and length is approx 7.5cm. They have Surgical Steel posts glued to the back, and Wide Brimmed backs for ample support on your lobe. Each earring weighs in at approx 10g.

Due to the handmade nature of the jewellery and accessories, unique imperfections and differences between pieces can occur in all designs. Flowers tend to float in the resin leaving amazing textures on the backs of the pieces, and dyes are mixed by hand so every single piece is completely unique and cannot be duplicated perfectly.

This particular capsule collection has been sourced from and inspired by the Bay of Fires in Tasmania, Australia. It is Mamoru's sincere hope that through this expression of love for the location, you too will be inspired to visit the Bay of Fires yourself, and to help protect such incredible natural locations where possible.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Every pressed or dried flower is collected by myself and has a history or sentimental appeal. Most are from my mothers garden in the Dandenong Ranges, (Victoria, Australia), and evoke deconstructed landscapes of my family home in the hills. Some are from long walks I’ll never forget, and contain native flowers unique to Australia. Some were gifts from ever-loving and generous souls whom I adore and hold great sentiment. And a few are bought by myself because they revive nostalgia inside me for a time past, or induce a memory of scent, touch, or taste.
All of these emotional attachments and exotic sensual experiences are not just my own, as I believe flowers and crystals speak a universal language of life, peace, healing, nurturing and revitalizing, and this is why I have chosen to combine the two together in the hope that you too can treasure these organic themes and elements. They are now here for you to apply your own histories and sensual recollections onto.
